Subject: HP CDRW shuttle USBAT no longer works :-(

Hi,
The HP CD4e USB CDwriter that uses the Shuttle_USBAT driver has
stopped working. Using git-bisect leads to a merge commit, where
both branches leading into the merge are OK.

The commit in question is 7c8d20d40f29e7c08332d406d7a65678dece4627

This makes no sense to me. Looking at the changes I can't see
anything that would break usbat. Do you have any ideas?
