Subject: PROBLEM: general protection faults and crashes on Intel
 SandyBridge Core i7 2600k

Hey,

 

I have some strage problems with Linux 2.6.39 on Intel Core i7. The

problems already existed on 2.6.38 (the one from debian lenny), that's

the cause with I took 2.6.39 vanilla and built myself. I hope my 
bugreport

is alright... Thanks!

General protection faults and crashes on Intel SandyBridge Core i7 2600k

With some EFI BIOS configs it does not even boot. With other EFI BIOS

configs it does boot and seems to work fine but suddenly raises

a 'general protection fault 0000' error.
