Subject: Re: [PROBLEM] reproduceable storage errors on high IO load

Hallo everybody,

yesterday the new drives arrived.
The drives are the 2TB version of Hitachis Ultrastar 7K3000: HUA723020ALA640

I still have problems even with relatively recent kernel version 2.6.39.
Attached is the 24kB gzipped dmesg output. (I hope this is allowed to do on
this ML.)

This drives are definitely enterprise hard drives and not the cheapest ones.

What's wrong here? I can reproduce this with my two command lines:

# mdadm -C /dev/md3 -l6 -n8 /dev/sd[c-h] missing missing
# mke2fs -j /dev/md3

Please have a look. I dont' know what to test next to track this down.
How debug?

Thanks
Lars
