Subject: [PATCH 3/7] fault-injection: cleanup simple attribute of stacktrace_depth

Minor cosmetic changes for simple attribute of stacktrace_depth:

 - use min_t()
 - reduce #ifdef by moving a function
 - do not use partly capitalized function name
