I forgot to include this....this might be useful as well:
root@...hoon-base-unit0:/root> udevadm info -q path -n /dev/sda
/block/sda
For comparison, on my 2.6.35.14 laptop I get:
[cfriesen@...h log]$ udevadm info -q path -n /dev/sda
/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1f.2/host0/target0:0:0/0:0:0:0/block/sda
