 we are all impressed with your work on the ux500 ALSA SoC
 driver, no doubt about that, this was all ever about the DT
 patch set.)

Ulf Hansson is working on this but he's on vacation FTM.
However he has shown good progress and can probably present
a prototype clock driver when he arrives back. IIRC there was
some clock reparenting business left to sort out.
