Subject: PROBLEM: ACPI 0x0000000000000b00-0x0000000000000b07 SystemIO conflicts with Region \_SB_.PCI0.SBRG.ASOC.SMRG 1 (20120320/utaddress-251)

Hi guys,

I've recently updated my machine to Linux kernel 3.5. Ever since then, I
experience frequent kernel panics in the I/O system. The output from
dmesg shows the following warning, which earlier version of the kernel
did not show:

  ACPI 0x0000000000000b00-0x0000000000000b07 SystemIO conflicts with Region \_SB_.PCI0.SBRG.ASOC.SMRG 1 (20120320/utaddress-251)

I've asked Google for help how it might be possible to remedy that
issue, but I couldn't find anything, so I'm reporting this problem here,
hoping some guru can give me a hint.

Attached to this e-mail are:

 - the output from dmesg,
 - the output from acpidump,
 - the contents of my /proc/cpuinfo file, and
 - the output from lspci -vvv.

I'd very much appreciate any help! Please let me know if there is some
information missing.

Take care,
Peter
