It seems that there are several disk controllers in your system.

Which disk are you using to save the vmcore?

These patches sends hot reset to endpoints to reset them, it may be
different way from BIOS initialization.

Or AER framework may be able to handle this. Actually it has a function
to reset endpoint when error is detected.
