Subject: Re: [PATCH] media: i2c: add driver for dual LED Flash, lm3560.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the patch! It's very nice and clean in general. I've got a few
comments below.

Please rearrange ascendingly according to the full path name.

How about aligning the register addresses (and masks and bits below)?

Lower case hex would be preferred I guess.

Could you define the flash/torch br_data and br_mask bits as a function of
the led number instead? Using 0 and 1 probably is a good idea.

Same for LED enable register addresses.

How about using an array instead? Or creating a led-specific struct?

How about using regmap_update_bits() directly as lm3560_update() doesn't
do anything except call that function?

I think you should find out the LED number based on which LED-specific
struct you're using. Adding the LED index would be easy way to do it, for
instance. Many of your double definitions below would disappear.

I might just use 0 and 1 directly. Up to you.

That's a powerful chip! :-)

Do you actually have use for this or is this from another example driver?
:-)

All flash chips I've seen are always powered, but in case you have a
controllable regulator you should request that regulator instead using the
regulator API. I know --- the existing flash drivers might not do that so
well. I think I had a patch to remove this from adp1653 --- need to bring
that up again.
