Yes. I use this two tools:

- rt-app (to create periodic workload, also not RT/DL)
  https://github.com/gbagnoli/rt-app

- schedtool-dl (patched version of schetool)
  https://github.com/jlelli/schedtool-dl

Both are aligned to the last interface.
