I will add my usual 2c worth about global changes vs adding things to infrastructure, updating the platforms, then removing things from infrastructure, in separate patches picked up by the relevant maintainers. But if everyone else is happy with doing things this way I won't say no. Ideally I'd like the shmobile portion patch to apply cleanly to linux-next (it looks like it should) and for the following to still compile: ape6evm_defconfig, armadillo800eva_defconfig, bockw_defconfig, koelsch_defconfig, kzm9g_defconfig, lager_defconfig, mackerel_defconfig, marzen_defconfig, shmobile_defconfig.
