Subject: Re: [PATCH v3] ath3k: Add support of MCI 13d3:3408 bt device

Hi Michael,

As I understood it is a combined device with BT and Wi-Fi WB335 ( based
on AR9565 )
It has MCI bt chip.
http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/ath9k/btcoex
http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/ath3k

But still ath3k firmware is needed.

I am just confused if it is AR3011 or AR3012 device.
According to iProduct in lsusb it must be AR3011. But in Windows driver
inf file it says

%VID_13D3&PID_3408% = QCABTUSB, USB\VID_13D3&PID_3408 ;AZW

VID_13D3&PID_3374 = "Qualcomm Atheros AR3012 Bluetooth 4.0 + HS"
VID_13D3&PID_3375 = "Qualcomm Atheros AR3012 Bluetooth 4.0 + HS"
VID_13D3&PID_3393 = "Qualcomm Atheros AR9462 Bluetooth 4.0 + HS"
VID_13D3&PID_3395 = "Qualcomm Atheros AR9462 Bluetooth 4.0 + HS"
VID_13D3&PID_3397 = "Qualcomm Atheros AR9462 Bluetooth 4.0 + HS"
VID_13D3&PID_3398 = "Qualcomm Atheros AR9462 Bluetooth 4.0 + HS"
VID_13D3&PID_3402 = "Qualcomm Atheros AR3012 Bluetooth 4.0 + HS"
VID_13D3&PID_3408 = "Qualcomm Atheros Bluetooth 4.0 + HS"

AR3011 must be bt 3.0, AR3012 is bt 4.0
Here it is shown as 4.0, but no AR3012. May be it is some new type of chip.

But it works with both version of patches with AR3012 or without.
I do not know how to test if it is really 4.0 or not.

Dmitry.
