I have retested this patch and on one of the arm test cases I get an
undefined instruction exception in kprobe_arm_test_cases. When this
happens PC points to the second nop below.

As all three instructions will have probes on them during testing, and
un-optimised probes are implemented by using an undefined instruction to
act as a breakpoint, my first thought was that we have a race condition
somewhere with adding, removing or optimizing probes. Though a reboot a
retest failed in the same way on the same instruction, so I'm not 100%
convinced about strictly timing related bugs.
 
Meanwhile, I have some review comments of the code below...

Is this "+ 4" needed now? I think it might be left over from the
previous version where you were aligning code in the slot to a 4 byte
boundary.

We already know that the stack must be aligned to 4 bytes here, because
if it weren't, pushing the registers to the stack which we did earlier
would cause an exception. We are also assuming that alignment because
otherwise the pt_regs* we pass to optimized_callback would be
misaligned. So whilst ANDing with 7 is functionally correct I think it's
a bit misleading as it implies we aren't sure of the current alignment.

Therefore I suggest sticking with '4', which matches the method used by
the exception handling code in svc_entry to align the stack. It also
matches arch_prepare_optimized_kprobe which you have allocating only 4
extra bytes for alignment rather than 7.

The above comment and code don't match up any more with the code in
optprobe_template_entry, it should be '+ 7' here. Alternatively, change
the code in optprobe_template_entry back to use 4 as I suggested.
