I'll put this:

===
So far one TCE table could only be used by one IOMMU group. However
IODA2 hardware allows programming the same TCE table address to
multiple PE allowing sharing tables.

This replaces a single pointer to a group in a iommu_table struct
with a linked list of groups which provides the way of invalidating
TCE cache for every PE when an actual TCE table is updated. This adds
pnv_pci_link_table_and_group() and pnv_pci_unlink_table_and_group() helpers
to manage the list. However without VFIO, it is still going
to be a single IOMMU group per iommu_table.

This changes iommu_add_device() to add a device to a first group
from the group list of a table as it is only called from the platform
init code or PCI bus notifier and at these moments there is only
one group per table.

This does not change TCE invalidation code to loop through all
attached groups in order to simplify this patch and because
it is not really needed in most cases. IODA2 is fixed in a later
patch.

Well, I was looking for list_first_entry_rcu() and there is none, instead
list_first_entry_or_null() is recommended.
I'll remove list_empty() check above and will test for NULL.

When this code is called, there is always one iommu group in the list.
Multiple groups per table only present when DMA setup is done and then
ownership is taken - but this is too late and a device is already assigned
to a group by then.

Yes, it is quite ugly and I want to fix this later to make this
device-to-group assignment explicit, i.e. pass an iommu_table_group
directly to iommu_add_device, just not in this patchset. It will require a
bit more work as this needs to work from the bus notifier (which I am not
sure we really need but current SRIOV code depends on it) and there we do
not have easy access to pnv_ioda_pe.

Nope. Bypass is only used by the host platform code and when it is being
activates/deactivated, there is no table sharing (i.e. there is always one
group per table).

In fact, this bypass thing is better be replaced with a iommu_table with 1
TCE entry and pageshift equal to rounded-up log2(host_ram_size) but not in
this patchset.

POWERNV implements IOMMU via TCE tables which can be shared. Where else
could this be? arch/powerpc/kernel/iommu.c is not the right place either.

I could. I just do not have a common place for pseries and powernv
platforms which is dedicated to VFIO. The code duplication is less this way
than the code/headers which would provide access to these helpers from
anywhere.

Looks overcomplicated, yes.

It is pseries, it is only one group per table so it does not really make a
difference whether there are 2 loops or just list_del(). I'll remove these
loops.
