Subject: Critical Error in Linux
un-fricking-believable. I recently moved to KDE and just got hit by this bug in Kubuntu 11.10, almost 2 years since this post was first started! It boggles my mind that a bug this CRITICAL can exist that long in KDE. Is the Q/A of KDE that bad? Do they do any testing at all? This is serious business folks, we are talking DATA LOSS here. People should be screaming about this bug from the roof tops as if it was a major security flaw.

This bug has been standing, it seems, since 2008. Unreal! I love the comments on that bug report about how it's a "kernel issue" or "mac os, windows have the same problem." I call BS. I've NEVER experienced losing files like this before EVER... and this is even REPEATABLE. It happens every time with KDE. Also, just do a search about "dolphin file loss" and you'll see plenty of results.
So long KDE! if I have to worry about LOSING DATA by doing something as mundane as copying directory, then KDE is worthless to me.
