Message-Id: <20151018014902.242368083@linuxfoundation.org> Date: Sat, 17 Oct 2015 18:56:29 -0700 From: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@...uxfoundation.org> To: linux-kernel@...r.kernel.org Cc: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@...uxfoundation.org>, stable@...r.kernel.org, Gleb Natapov <gleb@...nel.org>, Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@...hat.com>, Jason Wang <jasowang@...hat.com>, Cornelia Huck <cornelia.huck@...ibm.com> Subject: [PATCH 4.1 006/202] kvm: fix double free for fast mmio eventfd 4.1-stable review patch. If anyone has any objections, please let me know. ------------------ From: Jason Wang <jasowang@...hat.com> commit eefd6b06b17c5478e7c24bea6f64beaa2c431ca6 upstream. We register wildcard mmio eventfd on two buses, once for KVM_MMIO_BUS and once on KVM_FAST_MMIO_BUS but with a single iodev instance. This will lead to an issue: kvm_io_bus_destroy() knows nothing about the devices on two buses pointing to a single dev. Which will lead to double free[1] during exit. Fix this by allocating two instances of iodevs then registering one on KVM_MMIO_BUS and another on KVM_FAST_MMIO_BUS.
