Well, the available ALSA devices are:
CONTROL
SEQUENCER
TIMER
COMPRESS
HWDEP
RAWMIDI
PCM_PLAYBACK
PCM_CAPTURE
as found in sound/minors.h.
Any reason not to define for some of them?
