and looking at that repository, I don't see anything that looks like a
likely candidate for a mistaken pull request.

Did you forget to push out that tag?

I do find that top commit as your "topic/core-fixes" branch, but I'm
not going to pull that without some extra confirmation. Your usual
pattern is to have a real signed tag, so I suspect it's just a missed
push.
