I disagree for this one. These are single bit fields so it makes
sense to use the reg_field stuff rather than individually masking
all over the place.
Mind you I'd be tempted to define an enum, stick the above (and
the const structs used to initialize them in arrays and then
use a loop to initialize them. That'll result
in more compact code which might be nice given how verbose the
reg_field stuff is.
