I run arch and keep it up to date. With todays updates and 4.9.7 built here X will not start kde correctly. Reverting to 4.9.6 fixes things. Config is the same for both builds. I have three btrfs patches and the BFQ 4.9.0-v8r7 patchset applied on top of stable git's 4.9.{6|7}. Suggestions on what to look for or to try reverting (via git) xorg-server is 1.19.1-1 xf86-video-amdgpu 1.2.0-2 mesa is 13.0.4-1 kernel is x86_64 Thanks Ed On Thursday, February 2, 2017 5:10:47 AM EST, Greg KH wrote: > I'm announcing the release of the 4.9.7 kernel. > > All users of the 4.9 kernel series must upgrade. > > The updated 4.9.y git tree can be found at: > git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git > linux-4.9.y > and can be browsed at the normal kernel.org git web browser: > http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git;a=summary > > thanks, > > greg k-h > > ------------ > > Makefile | 2 > arch/arc/include/asm/delay.h | 4 > arch/arc/kernel/unaligned.c | 3 > arch/parisc/include/asm/bitops.h | 8 + > arch/parisc/include/uapi/asm/bitsperlong.h | 2 > arch/parisc/include/uapi/asm/swab.h | 5 > arch/s390/kernel/ptrace.c | 8 + > arch/s390/mm/pgtable.c | 7 -
