Subject: Re: [RFC PATCH] perf/stat: Add --disable-hwdt

Btw,

I'm wondering if, alternatively, we add this to the manpage of perf stat
and be done with it:

"Remember to turn off HW watchdog temporarily as it is taking up one hw
counter:

$ echo  0 > /proc/sys/kernel/nmi_watchdog
 ... perf workload
$ echo  1 > /proc/sys/kernel/nmi_watchdog

in case some of the specified events don't get counted."

This solves the problem rather simply :-)))
