Subject: Regression between 4.8.17 and 4.9.5: kernel doesn't boot up on Asus
 mainboard

I have a PC with AMD CPU, mainboard Asus Sabertooth 990FX (hwinfo.txt
attached)
With kernel 4.8.17 it runs normal, when using 4.9.5 it doesn’t boot up.

The options for the kernel should be the same, although a diff between
the two configs spits a lot of lines.
I don’t find any mistake from our side, so I guess there was a change in
the kernel?

Please ask me directly in case of questions, I’m not on linux-kernel.

mit freundlichen Grüssen,
Michael Monnerie
