Subject: [PATCH 4.10 31/75] tracing: Fix return value check in trace_benchmark_reg()

4.10-stable review patch. If anyone has any objections, please let me know.

------------------

From: Wei Yongjun <weiyongjun1@...wei.com>

commit 8f0994bb8cbde5452e58ce0cacdbf6cb58079d01 upstream.

In case of error, the function kthread_run() returns ERR_PTR() and never
returns NULL. The NULL test in the return value check should be replaced
with IS_ERR().
