Perhaps it's better to change this to
$prevrawline !~ /^\+\s*\/\*.*\\$/
Also perhaps the
// foo
*bar = baz;
case could be avoided by adding tests for the
comment character $; on $prevline and $line
and not looking only at $prevrawline and $rawline.
