config: powerpc-allyesconfig (attached as .config)
compiler: powerpc64-linux-gnu-gcc (Debian 6.1.1-9) 6.1.1 20160705
reproduce:
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/01org/lkp-tests/master/sbin/make.cross -O ~/bin/make.cross
chmod +x ~/bin/make.cross
# save the attached .config to linux build tree
make.cross ARCH=powerpc
All warnings (new ones prefixed by >>):
>> WARNING: vmlinux.o(.text+0x164a08): Section mismatch in reference from the function .core_imc_init() to the function .meminit.text:.alloc_pages_exact_nid()
The function .core_imc_init() references
the function __meminit .alloc_pages_exact_nid().
This is often because .core_imc_init lacks a __meminit
annotation or the annotation of .alloc_pages_exact_nid is wrong.
