Hi Chao.

Yep, that patch seems to have fixed it.
Doing "while true; do fstrim -v /; done" while "rm -rf"ing a 2GB
kbuild directory
(with lots of small .o files and stuff) ended flawlessly.

I hope to see this patch merged with next 4.14 merge cycle.
