As for my own experience, check out my Biit channel where I am going to
go through highlights, and do DSP retrofits, remasters etc.

Uses my own developed absolute minimal psychacoustically corrected phase
plateau band EQ. Here I am even using these EQs in serial and parallel
on the mix, and on the master, without phaseartifacts. A further
developement of the IIR-FIR discussion, into a solution with similar
sound of input and output.
Have you ever seen such a thing before? No?. Well I made that.
I also did a custom theme for the app used there. Which will be the
principles I will use in "Excellent Ubuntu" aswell.
