This code looks like a lot of shuffling around for little gain.

Instead of going from the base assumption that is

base
     -> 1.2
     -> 2.0

go with

base 2.0
      -> 1.2

That simplifies where the code is going, and where it will be in the 
future. It is more complex to maintain the above, when new targets in 
the future most properly will only consider only 2.0 implementations.

The patch does a lot of things at the same time. E.g,.

1) Adding 1.2 version check in pblk_init.c. This should be a separate patch.
2) Introduces constants for spec versions.  This should be a separate patch.
3) Refactors nvm_geo into nvm_dev_geo. Keep it as nvm_geo and make pblk 
use that structure by default. It should not be necessary for pblk to 
know about the 1.2 data structures. For the special case get/set and 
addressing, it can use the 1.2 variables in the nvm_geo if necessary. We 
can also put it in lightnvm core, but it is properly not worth to do.
4) maxoc / maxocpu, I did not add them in the early patches, as there is 
no implementation that will use it. When it is implemented, it can be 
added. At least it should go into a separate patch.
5) the rename of ppaf -> addrf / ppaf_bitsize ->addrf_len should be in a 
separate patch.
6) rename sec_offset/sec_len -> go into a separate patch or keep as is.
7) addition of nvme_nvm_id data structure, I can see where you are going 
with this, but it does not have anything to with what the patch 
describes. It should go into a separate patch. However, I rather just 
have the original implementation for identifying 1.2/2.0.
8) If you want to remove the identify data structure in nvm_geo, make it 
in another patch.
