There is a slight argument that we should report an error from the 
interrupt clear if it generates an error, but I'm not that bothered
as that is unlikely to happen and people rarely see these errors in
their logs anyway.

Applied to the togreg branch of iio.git and pushed out as testing
for the autobuilders to play with it.
