Subject: [PATCH] staging: rtl8712: remove redundant pointer 'nic'

From: Colin Ian King <colin.king@...onical.com>

Pointer 'nic' is being assigned but is never used hence it is
redundant and can be removed.

Cleans up clang warning:
warning: variable 'nic' set but not used [-Wunused-but-set-variable]
