Have you tested this as a module? I tested this as built-in and it
worked, but today I ran a test with drivers as modules and it fails
here, since the panel is not yet probed (hence, dsi->panel_bridge is
NULL). Here is my dmesg:

You can see that the panel attaches later on, but there is no retry
scenario here.
So, I think you should handle this case here, otherwise the driver will
fail as a module.
