Subject: Dell OptiPlex 7010: wmi_bus wmi_bus-PNP0C14:00: WQBC data block query
 control method not found

Dear Darren, dear Mario,

After updating the firmware for the Dell OptiPlex 7010 from BIOS A14 (06/10/2013)
to BIOS A29 (06/28/2018), Linux, for example, 4.14.87 and 5.4.5, displays the
warning below.

[ 9.172248] wmi_bus wmi_bus-PNP0C14:00: WQBC data block query control method not found

Please find the output of `dmesg` attached.

Can there anything done about that besides Dell fixing the firmware? What are
the consequences of this firmware bug, which causes the Linux kernel to
ignore the data block?

Kind regards,

Paul
