Hmm, it looks like you're still leaving behind the old file as entirely 
dead code, which doesn't seem particularly good.

FWIW, a nice way to make a change like this easy to review is to have an 
initial patch that just moves the existing C file and config/build stuff 
to the new subdirectory (use `git format-patch -M ...`), then one or 
more further patches on top to split out the individual SoC options. 
That way the diffs stay small and reviewers don't have to read the patch 
side-by-side with the original file to confirm that the "new" code 
really is identical to what was there before.
