Yeah I think that rework is going to be a lot of work. Generally as long
as we have agreement about the long-term direction, then I think in-tree
refactoring leads to best results. So if other bridge people (I've just
jumped in here) agree, then we're good to go.

I think best way to document the agreement is to type up a patch for
Documentation/gpu/todo.rst with the full plan, with some details. And then
get acks from bridge maintainers. I think Laurent, Sam and Boris
Brezillion are most active right now with shaping the drm_bridge future.
