Maybe just add:

instead?  The upstream kernel doesn't need the firmware to be
pre-split.  (No idea why the went the route of split fw in downstream
kernel, the firmware is basically an elf file, which they pre-split
into sections.)

Note also, I recommend that dts uses firmware-name for zap (and in the
case of other drivers, any other signed firmwares) so that a single
/lib/firmware can support multiple different devices (where the fw
needs to be signed differently)
