Perhaps until the fixer is fixed, it'd be more
complete coverage to use checkpatch like:

$ git ls-files <path> | \
  xargs ./scripts/checkpatch.pl -f --fix-inplace --types=unnecessary_modifier

e.g.:

$ git ls-files drivers/net/ethernet/amd/xgbe | \
  xargs ./scripts/checkpatch.pl -f --fix-inplace --types=unnecessary_modifier

$ git diff -U0 drivers/net/ethernet/amd/xgbe/
