Subject: bisected regresion, 9127daa0a8d88a6e6452eb8b7c9be4c3f42a867e
crashes on my laptop when the screen is unblanked

Hi,

I bisected it down to this and reverted it on the current upstream.
As soon as my laptop comes back the screen goes into randomly colored
changing pixels and colored lines on the right margin.
Graphical output is nor recoverable. I have bisected it and reverting
that commit on current upstream fixes the issue. The effect is 100%
reproducable.

CONFIG_DRM_AMD_DC_HDCP is not set. I am using the internal display
only.
