That would be nice to see, indeed. Unfortunately it's not quite there
yet. With that patch applied, the linker will still complain that it's
linking non-abicalls with abicalls, and hard-float with soft-float
(while everything is supposedly compiled with non-abicalls and
soft-float).
Even if that worked, regular clang-built kernels cannot boot on my
system as the vmlinuz.bin extractor fails to run
(https://github.com/ClangBuiltLinux/linux/issues/1333).
But this is one step closer to the goal.

I did build with binutils 2.35; 2.23 sounds very old.
