I can see both good and bad sides of creating a Renesas directory. I
like that 'git blame' is easy if we don't move files around to much so I
think my preference is to keep files where there are unless, we get some
other advantage in moving them other then it's a neat grouping?

If they are moved I agree with you about collecting things in a common
