I won't have time to review this patch before the commit window opens.
Quick feedback, though: A number of the debugfs files are not acceptable.
Specifically,
- Energy should be reported as sysfs attribute. If that is wanted, it needs
to be added to the pmbus core.
- Power control should be implemented through regulator support.
- Several debugfs read and write commands are not acceptable.
This especially applies to the commands that go above the ones in the
q54sj108a2 (and I regret approving those; I should ahave realized that
it openend a flood door for abuse). In general, I won't approve anything
that reports standard PMBus parameters/values, and anything that risks
bricking the system. If you want to make a case for those, add to PMBus
core and add them to the standard debugfs attributes reported for all
PMBus devices. The same applies to reporting energy or max attributes,
which should be reported via standard sysfs attributes.
