Why do you need a .h file for a tiny .c file? Please put them all
together, that makes things easier to modify over time, and review
today.

Why is this on the stack?

Why not just use a real structure instead of random offsets into an
array?

Why +1?

No error checking on the overflow of a message size?

You can write data on this device that comes from the stack and not
DMA-able memory? Are you sure?
And no checking for any errors here at all?

If this fails, what about the previous message that succeeded? Should
that be rolled back somehow?

Again off of the stack and not the heap? Are you sure that is ok?

No error checking at all?
Same goes for all calls to these functions, you don't seem to ever check
that anything went wrong. You must have reliable hardware :)
