Hello Conor,

could you, please, provide the relevant device-tree sniplets.

Please, have a look at the no-map property in
Documentation/devicetree/bindings/reserved-memory/reserved-memory.txt. 
It controls if the kernel in any way will access the memory outside of 
your new driver.
