I'm not sure if the value is relevant here, but I'd add the error, it's
useful to know what kind of I2C issue occurred. Same for read().

By the way, this isn't something you need to do in this driver, but I've
found the following pattern to be useful for error handling:

With this, you could simplify functions such as
tc358746_apply_dphy_config(), by initializing the local err variable to
0, calling

without checking for errors, and just returning err at the end of the
function. With the same pattern enabled in tc358746_update_bits() you
could simplify other functions too.

I still think there's something fishy here. The inequality is always
true as csir > sbr. You will get a non-zero fifo size in your
calculation because you artifically add an abs(), but I don't think
that's right.

If I understand things correctly, you need to ensure that once the FIFO
threshold is reached and the CSI-2 side starts sending data, the input
size will keep feeding data fast enough for the FIFO to never underrun.

The FIFO level triggers the CSI-2 transmission. This means that once the
CSI-2 transmission start, fifo-sz bits have been written to the FIFO
already, and image-width - fifo-sz bits still need to be written. To
avoid underruns, you need to ensure that the time required to read all
the data (image-width) on the CSI-2 size will be higher than or equal to
the time required to write the remaining data (image-width - fifo-sz) on
the input side. This translates to

	image-width / csir >= (image-width - fifo-sz) / sbr
	image-width * sbr / csir >= image-width - fifo-sz
	fifo-sz >= image-width - image-width * sbr / csir

The calculation is thus correct, but not for the right reason :-) All
you need to fix here is the comment, not the code.
