Subject: [ANNOUNCE] 6.1.26-rt8
Hello RT-list!
I'm pleased to announce the 6.1.26-rt8 stable release.
I'm sorry for the confusion and long interval between releases.
As best I can tell, I did a "partial" release of v6.1.19-rt8 and
then got diverted by work issues, then came back and did v6.1.26-rt8,
to the great confusion of all concerned (especially me).
The tags should be right (i.e. no v6.1.19-rt8), but there did exist a
v6.1.19-rt8 set of files up on kernel.org. If you picked up one of those
tarballs, please upgrade to the v6.1.26-rt8 version as I've removed the
v6.1.19 set of tar files from the release dir.
If you have any questions/concerns, please contact me and I'll try to
address them.
You can get this release via the git tree at:
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/rt/linux-stable-rt.git
branch: v6.1-rt
Head SHA1: 48e5445f07d6aadb97fd2d6cb34f378ff7f2cbe0
Or to build 6.1.26-rt8 directly, the following patches should be applied:
https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v6.x/linux-6.1.tar.xz
https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v6.x/patch-6.1.26.xz
https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/projects/rt/6.1/patch-6.1.26-rt8.patch.xz
Enjoy!
Clark
