On a “server” (with Intel Xeon?), in my case Dell PowerEdge T640 and 
Dell PowerEdge R930 (Intel E7-8891 v3), run

     kexec /boot/bzImage --initrd=/boot/grub/initramfs.igz --reuse-cmdline
