Hey Jackson,

I did a bit of testing and I ran into a couple of different issues when
decoding with more than 1 thread, could you have a look into these? I
know that this is broken before the patch as well, but I feel like we
should first get decoding with more than 1 thread correct before we make
decoding asynchronous, because that won't make debugging any easier.
