I'm not sure, what do you mean here. I'm talking a driver interface, not
about the Mediatek encoder on its own. The ANX7625 can be used with any
DSI host, including one of the hosts which do not support DSC. The
ANX7625 driver needs to negotate usage of the DSC with the underlying
bridge.

By the 'set' do you mean 'calculate' or 'program to the hardware'?

Don't use .mode_set() at all. Calculate parameters in .atomic_check()
and then write them in .atomic_enable(). You should be able to fold
.mode_set() into .atomic_enable() anyway.
