My reproducer is below:
terminal 1: run perf trace in a loop.
$ while true; do sudo ./perf trace true; done
terminal 2: run perf record in a loop until hit the segfault.

I manually ran it with gdb to get some more hints.
Thread 1 "perf" received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
