Following on what is noted as Gregory's feedback above, and considering
that the conventions document exists to describe solutions to platform
quirks, would it be clearer to state the platform quirk in the commit
msg rather than generalizing?

Replace this:
cxl: docs/driver-api/conventions resolve conflicts between CFMWS, Low memory Holes, Decoders
With this:
cxl: Documentation/driver-api/cxl: Describe the x86 Low Memory Hole solution

That also aligns w existing format for this files commit messages.
Hoping DaveJ can update the commit message upon applying.
Otherwise, LGTM
