IIUC --cid can be used only by the receiver, so maybe better to use
"CID of the sender to connect to"

What about make the sender initiate the connection, while the receiver
listens?
So we could remove "--cid" and use only --sender:

         --sender <cid>       Sender mode (receiver default).
                              <cid> of the receiver to connect to.

And of course updating the description above.

I would use --bytes and also add KMG as suffix (in all places where
supported).
